Brand and Promotion Guidelines
Ombudly speaks up for people about their money. Our brand should make that feel calm, useful and under their control. These rules apply to approved affiliates and anyone promoting referral rewards. Affiliate approval is required before using commission links or describing yourself as an official affiliate.
1. The name and mark
Write Ombudly in prose. The supplied wordmark uses lowercase ombudly; do not retype or redraw it as a substitute logo. The official site is ombudly.com. Describe yourself as an independent affiliate or user, never as Ombudly staff, support, an account manager or an authorized financial adviser.
Use the supplied transparent symbol on a light background or dark app icon on dark surfaces. Keep the shield, speech bubble and coin intact. Preserve proportions, keep at least half the symbol's width clear on every side, and display the symbol at 32 CSS pixels or larger. Use the wordmark only where it remains readable. Ask partners@ombudly.com for another format rather than tracing it.
Do not stretch, crop, rotate, recolor, animate or add effects to the mark. Do not combine it with a seal, government emblem, bank logo, payment-card logo, competitor logo or your own logo to imply an affiliation. Do not use our name or confusing variants in a domain, account handle, app name, browser extension, email sender or paid-search display URL.
2. Color and typography
| Role | Color | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Navy | #0D1B2A | Main text, dark backgrounds |
| Deep green | #0B7A57 | Links, buttons, emphasis on light backgrounds |
| Bright green | #2BD39A | Highlights on navy; never small body text on white |
| Cream | #FAF8F3 | Light backgrounds |
| Gold | #F2B544 | Small supporting accents, not a bank or guarantee seal |
Ombudly uses Bricolage Grotesque for display headings and Inter for body text. Use a readable system sans-serif when those fonts are unavailable; keep the supplied logo artwork unchanged. Keep text legible on mobile, with visible keyboard focus and sufficient contrast. Never use color alone to communicate a required action or a warning.
3. Claims we can stand behind
Approved descriptions include "an AI financial advocate", "helps review records for potential fees, missing refunds and overcharges", and "helps prepare requests with evidence, with your approval before actions that commit you." Describe only features currently available in the plan and deployment you are showing.
Companies decide whether to refund money. Do not guarantee a refund, savings amount, response time, legal outcome, credit-score increase, tax result, investment return or affiliate income. Do not say every task is free, unlimited, instant or successful. Explain material eligibility, plan, usage and fee conditions beside a price or reward claim.
Ombudly is not a bank, law firm, debt-settlement service, tax preparer or investment adviser. Do not imply FDIC insurance, government approval, a fiduciary relationship, credit repair, legal representation or authority to move someone's money. Do not claim "bank-grade" or "military-grade" security, perfect accuracy, universal compliance, or that no person or provider can ever access data.
Do not imply all advertised integrations or paid functions are enabled while checkout or a provider is unavailable. Free credits are work capacity, not cash. A 25% affiliate share applies to eligible subscription revenue, not the customer's refunds or all money flowing through the app.
4. Make the relationship obvious
Put an understandable compensation disclosure beside the recommendation and link, before the reader acts. For example: "I may earn a commission if you subscribe through this Ombudly link." For referrals: "We may both earn work credits if you join through my link and qualify." Add the actual qualification and waiting conditions wherever you describe the reward.
In video or audio, disclose within the content; for video, use both spoken and readable on-screen disclosure. Also place it near the description link. Repeat it in a live stream when new viewers may miss the original. Do not rely on a profile, footer, hashtag pile, vague "partner" label, or content hidden behind "more". Platform tools supplement this disclosure, not replace it.
These are Ombudly's promotion requirements, informed by the FTC's endorsement guidance and social-media disclosure guidance. They are not a guarantee that a particular placement satisfies every applicable law.
5. Real examples, with permission
Only describe experiences you actually had. Never invent reviews, generate a fake customer testimonial, buy favorable rankings or condition a reward on a positive review. Label synthetic examples and demonstrations prominently. Do not present a single successful refund as a typical result, or use unrepresentative earnings screenshots as an income promise.
Use demo data in screenshots and recordings. Real customer material requires prior written consent for that specific use and Ombudly review. Never expose names, addresses, account numbers, balances, transactions, medical details, emails, tax information, vault contents, credentials, MFA secrets or recovery codes. Blur or replace sensitive information before a file is shared; cropping a preview is insufficient if the original remains downloadable.
6. Channels that need approval
Get written approval at partners@ombudly.com before paid ads, comparison/ranking sites, coupon or deal sites, promotional email/SMS, offline campaigns, or any use outside your approved application plan. Without specific approval, do not bid on Ombudly or misspellings, send bulk messages, buy contact lists, install tracking pixels, target people using inferred debt, illness or financial distress, or market to children.
No cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden iframes, adware, browser extensions, misleading redirects, impersonating support, or false urgency. Never request a user's password, app password, verification code, bank login, card number or financial documents. Send product-support requests to Ombudly's actual support channel.
If commercial email is separately approved, use truthful sender and subject information, identify the commercial message, provide the required sender address and an easy opt-out, and honor opt-outs. No campaign is approved to evade applicable email or messaging rules. See the FTC's commercial-email guide.
7. Review and corrections
Keep a copy of approved creative and where it ran. We may ask to inspect a placement, correct a claim, remove an asset or stop a campaign. Promptly remove inaccurate, outdated or unapproved content. Do not restore suspended links through another account. Approval is limited and revocable; it does not transfer ownership of our marks or allow sublicensing.
Use the current affiliate rules or referral rules for exact economics and eligibility. Questions, review requests and suspected impersonation: partners@ombudly.com; security incidents: security@ombudly.com.
